This paper is to provide a solution for Remote Network Control(RNC) and establish an experimental system for reliable communication. It covers RNC, channel codes and the system design of a spread spectrum radio device. 1) RNC is based on RCM2200 moudule. By programming the RCM2200, user can change RCM2200's configuration with a great convenience by means of IE or telnet. Actively launching or closing the network connection is realized and authentication is employed to keep out the unauthorized users. A Windows-based VC++6.0 program is written, which enables computer to directly communicate with RCM2200 moudule and control the peripheral device attached to the RCM2200 serial port . 2) Convolutional Codes and Viterbi Algorithm is studied. The BERs(Bit-Error Rate ) resulting from MATLAB simulation (at different constraint length, Eb/No and decision type ) are presented to show the performance of convolutional codes. A program is developed to simulate convolutional encoder and Viterbi decoder. 3) Based on MATLAB, the primary concepts of the spread spectrum are simulated. The system design and interface technology of a spread spectrum radio device is simply discussed.
