This dissertation introduces a kind of CAR Navigation system which use inertial navigation equipments and GPS navigation satellite to realize the real time orientation.This instrument for navigation can measure informations of vehicle instantaneously,such as altitude,longitude,latitude and display these information on TFT LCD. In this essay, I give the hardware and software design in detail of this integrated navigation instrument. Firstly , I use two charpters to analyse the characters of the required data signals,including the primary principle of transmitting GPS data signal and the standard of decoding it. The software design is mainly at the foundation of discrete kalman filter model and embeded system programming principle . Main CPU of instrument adopt digital signal process unit (ARM Core). The hardware design adopt distributing design which separate receiving and processing GPS signal from the main system to use professional GPS signal from the main system to use professional DSP to fulfill . The distributing design reduce effectively spending of CPU .Through following experiments in practice , the outcome indicate that this NAV system can accomplish the reckoning on data information of vehicle and has the supernal precision.
