This paper is composed of five chapters. In Chapter 1, we introduce the historical background of problems that will be investigated and the main work of this paper. In chapter 2 and chapter 3, we investigate the global asymptotically stability, as well as the existence and uniqueness, of equilibrium for a general-utility type nerve network:(E)where fi are the propagational signal functions defined on R.In chapter 4, existence and uniqueness of equilibrium, as well as its stability, of a Hopfield neural network are studied. A set of new and simple sufficient conditions are derived. In chapter 5, we studied a general-utility type nerve network with delays:(A)By using some analysis techniques and constructing suitable Lyapunov functions, We obtain some sufficient conditions guaranteeing the existence and stability of equilibrium of above mentioned models. Some simple and new sufficient conditions are given ensuring global asymptotically stability of solutions of various special forms of system (E) and the global attraction of solutions of system (A). These results improve and generalize some known results.
