Research, The Pc-based Virtual Studio System

There are the properties of low-cost and flexible control in the virtual studio systems based on multiple PCs. The virtual studio systems have the complex function,especially they require the high-performance rendering engine,so there are many problems to solve. We mainly research on the architecture of multiple PCs,the acquirement and organization of 3D model data and real-time rendering of virtual scenes. The major content and contribution of this dissertation include:Designing the architecture of the virtual studio systems based on multiplePCs,including functional structure,hardware architecture and the design of blue room.Studying and implementing the acquirement and organization of 3D model data including the geometry data,material data,texture mapping data and animal data.Studying and implementing the real-time rendering of the virtual scenes.Implementing the techniques of video texture mapping and antialiasing.Designing and implementing a virtual studio prototype system based onmultiple PCs.
