Fixed-line Real-time Billing System

Regular telephones are widely used, and the economic benefit is rising quickly. The service charge system of China Telecom is composed of the subsystem of billing process for local network the provincial and the national production supervision & management center. In this p'aper, the subsystem is researched and designed.'Based on systematic analysis of malpractice and realistic demand of the current service charge management system of regular telephone, this paper presents the concept of real-time service charge, and divides the system into two sections?proscenium system including data collection > store and forward & backup system including computing^ billing inquiry and data output etc.. The account algorithm> data structure and output forms are studied, and the hardware's configuration & the lists of program codes are presented. Furthermore, the methods of operation and maintenance of system are described.Compared to the current system, the establishment of this system will improve the performance in long billing operation period and inaccuracy of real-time service charge etc., and promote the economic & social benefit for China Telecom carriers.
