Due to some problems so far still exist in the Second Era Mobile CommunicationSystem j among which mainly are problems of the capacity of the system and the qualityof the communication itself, and aIso because of the appearance of smart antennas, thekey technique in the Third Era Mobile Communication. BeamfOrming technology inup link and DOA estimative algorithm technology in down Iink in Smart Antennasherewith have been studied systemmatically.The main issues analyzed within are as following:1) Detailed analysis of both the principle and development of the intelIective an-tennas and the development of the wireless softwares.2) In the arithmetic of BeamfOrming algorithm(LCMV,etc)in up link, some arith-metic meanings are compared and the differences exist in practical application in systemTdd and Fdd are particularly analyzed as well.3) 2D-DOA estimation in down link, which includes also DOA estimation ofNarrowband signals(MUSIC,ESPRIT,WSF,etc.) and DOA estimation of Boardbandsignals(CSM,etc),TO lay off the current heavy calculating burden existing now in 2-dimention DOA, some inprovement are made in 2-dimention ESPRIT, So that thecalculating load in 2-dimention are greatly reduced, thus to make some practical ex-pIore in practical use of intellective antennas.4) Application of the properties of the Cyclostationary Signals. This issue includealso blind adaptive beamfOrming (SCORE, CAB, etc.) and 2D-DOA estimation ofBoardband Signals(GSC-SSF, etc.); For the technique CDMA are broadly used in theThird Era Mobile communication, it can be more accurate and convenient when theprob1ems in intel1ectiW antennas are solved by the cyclostationary of the signals. Afurther compare of the arithmetic CAB and 2D-DOA is talked and the simulationexperiment following even tell the reliability of this arithmetical means.Detailed work include: generalizing, analyzing, mathematically calculating, im-proving and estimating by experiments the 2D-DOA estimation from the classical al-gorithm of 1-D Subspace. Moreover, Application and Simulation of the properties ofthe cyclostationary of signals in parameter estimation within Smart Antennas area arestudied as well.
