The design and implementation of Frame relay/ ATM Network Interworking card ,which is a part of The Full Service Integrated Access System, are studied in this paper. Based on the discussing of the theory and characteristic of Frame Relay and ATM technology, we have done some researches on the implementation of FRF.5 - Frame Relay/ATM PVC Network Interworking Agreement. From the point of view of this system,this paper has analyzed the status and process of FR card in the whole system and it's interrelation of other cards.From different aspect, this paper also has expatiated the agreement mapping , network management ,the device driver on FR side, and the inherence relationship among these three modules. We developed this card based on the hardware platform - MPC860SAR (embedded Communications processor), software platform - pSOSystem (real time operating system) ,and we debug the card with the pRISM+ integrated development environment. AT last we put this card into the Full Service Integrated Access System,and debuged and validated it within the whole system.The result indicates that this card can achieve all the requirements.
