Internet revolutionarily recorded its birth and development in the history of communication. Being designed to deal with "virtual war'" at the beginning, network has grown from simple Ian system with only four nodes and a couple of computers into the fourth media which is regarded as a new milestone in communication model. This article, based on Marxist Double Negation theory, offers a clear statement on the network communication's role in the history of communication and its unique nature as a new communication method together with author's prediction on its evolution direction in future. In the history of communication, even' communication model has its own factor of "affirmation" and '"negation". Mass communication is a '"negation" to personal communication while network communication turns to be a negation to mass communication, which means a "double negation". Inheriting some positive features from mass communication, network also shows some features of personal communication. With analysis of network communication's specific appearance, the paper shows it's different features in different medias like E-magazine, website and BBS refemng its switch between "forwarder" and "receiver".Stating the developing trend of network communication as a result of its mixed and compatible nature, this article improves our understanding on how to refine our idea about communication and make advantages through network communication.Furthermore, this paper develops a comparative and data-related analysis, which gives a review of network communication, to outline its history background as a new communication model. Compared to traditional communication model, it argues that a focus on network communication's special appearance and surviving advantages may improve our understanding of the position of network communication combined with our response strategies.
