| This paper presents a statistical multiplexing model of random process in the packet switching network: given the closed form evolution of relevant parameters to characterize the process at the output of statistical multiplexing system. Comparing with previous approaches. the proposed method is able to additionally describe transient condition and through the autocorrelation function and the mean length of adjacent packets to design and implement the capability of the input buffer and output buffer of system by which can validly decrease the probability of packets missing and packets delay, Based on previous thought and performance, we present the design and implement MPEG-2 transport multiplexing in CATV network, and decide the capability of buffer. Instead DSP hardware design thought Here provide software to implement multiplexing system. According the real-time transport run and operation, we think this idea is excellent for MPEG-2 transport stream in CATV network. The same time, According the data-transmission and MPEG-2 symbol rate, we apply PCI bus to implement I/O function. How to design the driver of PCI Bus and driver of S5933 interface that is DMA mode.
