Adsl Network Device Driver Of The Linux System Developed

ADSL technology is an rising method to access Internet now. Because of its high transmittal speed and low cost, ADSL is becoming more popular and promising.Linux is a free operation system which is developed based UNIX system. In few years, it has growed into a perfect and stable operatetion system. For its opening, it will be well deveploped.With the development of this two, appling ADSL technology to Linux is inevitable. This will be helpful to both of two and the development of Internet. Therefor, this paper will discuss some problem about this aspect.This paper will give a whole introduction to ADSL technology at first, including the basic concept~ system structure and main trait of ADSL. Then its main technique is introducedFor Linux, besides introduction to its origin ~. development status, its kernel structure will be simply explained, and main work will be discussion of its three kinds of device driver. An Ethernet net card (ne2k-pci) will be an example to illustration device driver more directly.At last, there will be detailed narration of device driver of ADSL Modem in Linux which is the most important part of this project.
