With the rapid development of IT and digital multi-media products, thecopyright protection of multi-media is attached much more importanceday after day. In this paper, we present a new adaptive watermarkingalgorithm based on two-dimension Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT). Inorder to realize the adaptability, the characteristic of Human Vision System(HVS) is taken into account and the watermark information with differentintensity is embedded into original image. Simulation results demonstratethe invisibility and high robustness of the algorithm to common imageprocessing, especially rotation, crop, JPEG compression, additive noise,and low pass filtering and median value filtering. Finally, a method tosatisfy the solitary of watermark information is presented, by which wecan prevent the watermarked image from multi-embedding.
