| Compared with traditional narrowband radar, wideband radar has obvious advantages in range resolution, precision of target parameter measurement, the radar’s performance of "four anti-interference",target recognition performance, performance of strong clutter background of weak target detection, the signal waveform design and so on,which is one of the important direction of modern radar detection technology.With the rise of the new technologies, the demand of the resolution on the Radar is higher and higher. The traditional detection of point target is not suitable for the detection of the target signal, because it cannot make the most of its echo characteristics when the radar range resolution significantly smaller than the target size, while the radar targets show the characteristics of range-spread targets. Therefore, the study for high resolution of range-spread targets is very necessary. Focusing on the detection of Characteristic quantity of range-spread targets, this thesis carryed out the following tasks:1. Researched on the wideband radar equation and the analysis of the statistical model of RCS.2. Researched on the linear frequency modulated waveform and the pulse compress technology which is commonly used in the study of wideband radar, and the simulation analysis of wideband radar target echo characteristics.3. Introduced several classic clutter distribution models, analyzed the relationship between generalized complex distributed clutter model for different parameters and the classic clutter models, then simulates it with ZMNL.4. Introduced three existing detection algorithms on range-spread targets: the Energy Accumulation detection algorithm,the Optimal Matching detection and the M/N detection algorithm.Researched on detection performance of energy accumulation detector and effects of different parameters on the detection performance with the Monte Carlo method.5. The modified detection algorithm of range-spread targets based on the analysis of the Characteristic quantity of skewness and kurtosis, then detected its skewness and kurtosis according to thickness of the tail of target echo and clutter, as well as the sharp degree of the peak. Analyzed the detection performance and effects of different parameters on the detection performance with the Monte Carlo method.6. The modified detection algorithm of range-spread targets based on the analysis of the Characteristic quantity of third-order cumulants, then detected third-order cumulants target echo and clutter according to the character of higher order cumulants which atomatically suppress Gaussian background noise, then analysis the detection performance and effects of different parameters on the detection performance with the Monte Carlo method.This thesis first introduced the related theory of distance extension target detection, then studied the relevant model which is applicable to extended target detection and the distance extension target clutter model, and extended target distance iwas verified by the simulation with classic detection algorithm.Then it came up with new extended target detection algorithm, which was based on the analysis of the characteristic distance. Finally it compared the old and new algorithm by simulation. |
