| Collection murals are the key historical and cultural relics of China. It have shown the politics, culture, economy visually from all historical periods, also it has high research value. It is for this reason that we should cherish and protect it. Although it has improved a lot compare the protection of murals in place with the protection of murals museum, the power, crack, mildew spot and plaque began to appear on the surface of collection murals with the passage of time affected by environment and artificial factor which has tremendous impacts on the preservation and research value of collection murals. Actively research and restoration to collection murals is our bounden duty as the beginner of restoration of cultural relics.Jiangxi Nanchang Dean Museum commissioned Shaanxi Normal University history cultural heritage protection engineering research center of Ministry of Education to fix their collection murals in 2014. We found their collection mural is the tomb fresco of Song Dynasty after the field inspections. The murals characters may be concubines and court officials from the clothing and reflect to some degree the ruling class’s daily life. It is possible that the collection murals are tomb murals of the royal family members in the Song Dynasty. The Song Dynasty have more than 100 years history till now and the standing crop mural is few, combined with that it lies in the south, the temperature and humidity is vary notably with the change of season, from the foregoing discussion, we can come to the conclusion that the mural is very precious. It is found through observation that the paint on the surface of collection murals is beginning to flake and some of the paint has come off, a white powder is present on the surface. We can determine it is cracking diseases which caused severe damage to collection murals and in serious need of repair.This article mainly aims at the power and crack diseases appear at Jiangxi Nanchang Dean collection murals based on the theory, literatures in the field were consulted to investigate the causes of disease and the commonly used method for the two kinds of disease. Base on the theoretical basis above, this article did some associated reparative experimental studies from the following four parts.First, theory analysis and positive analyses are to be applied to research. The causes leading to the diseases are found through surveying the diseases on murals and the simulation experiments.Second, we hope soften the wrinkling parts and get them back in the rallies for better reparation of mural diseases, the appropriate Softener has been chosen from three types of common softener by simple methods.Third, aiming at the powder disease, we adopted the reinforcement measure. Several kinds of reinforcement materials has been selected from reinforcing agent which is often used in cultural treasures reinforcement treatment by means of a series of tests, such as appearance, color difference, reinforcement strength, permeability, acid-resisting by the experimental approach on the simulation sample. Then a kind of reinforcement material which generally have good properties was further sieved out through the aging test and the corresponding detection means.Fourth, mural simulated sample was desalted through common and self-designed desalination methods after the simulated sample reinforcement. Effects of two different methods for desalination were compared, more satisfactory results can be obtained using self-designed desalination method. |
