Core drilling is an important step in geological exploration also an important way in the implement of spectrum and crustal plan. Getting the information of mineral ingredient and mineral alteration by spectral detecting from earth surface and crustal in certain depth range, establishing an integrated visualization of drilling and terrain and ore body using multidimensional visualization tech and creating 3D graph of mineral distribution is very promising in geological exploration engineering. To attach the goal, we need to use computer graphics, visualization in scientific computing and multidimensional data analysis techniques, they provide the theoretical support in geographic information visualization.In this dissertation, we study terrain reconstruction, visualization of multiple mineral drilling information, content distribution of drilling mineral and ore body reconstruction. The mainly achievement contains the following parts:1. Based on the drilling sampling dots’multi Mineral composition data, we design a method like radial distribution which can show sampling dots’multi attributes assorted and a method like cell arrangement which can show adjacent sampling dots’ mineral content directly.2. We study the earth surface reconstruction method including Inverse Distance Weighted method and Least Square method and Kriging method with small discrete drilling elevation data. Combine with drills’elevation data, we create earth surface using above methods and compare different methods’ pros and cons.3. Aim at limited number drill’s mineral, we study mineral distribution section in different depth of crustal. we discuss the mineral distribution section’s generation using Voronoi diagram with Raster-Based method, and to accelerate the speed of generation, we using the technology of GPU, and the experimental results show that the method using GPU can significantly accelerate the Voronoi diagram generation.4. Using the drill’s different depth’s multi mineral content information, we study surface model, body model and hybrid model of 3D ore body modeling and description. On this base, we realize 3D ore body reconstruction with similar triangular prism method and realize the ore body sectioned operation.5. Based on the studies above, we finish the core drilling multidimensional data visualization system software development. It focus on discrete small amount of core drilling data, realizing the sampling point data cell liking visualization, radial distribution liking visualization, surface reconstruction of the surface, different mineral composition distribution reconstruction in different depth, three-dimensional Ore body reconstruction and sectioned. The software has guidance for geological exploration.
