Owe to the increasingly lower power consumption and increased integration of electronic devices, more and more special devices have been invented and developed to provide some traditional or even untraditional functions. Those devices usually are small and portable, and some even have network access, just like the hot Google glass, or some wearable sport-assistant devices. Behind this is the development of the integrated circuit technology, which fundamentally makes electronic devices smaller and have more various or powerful functions.ECG measurement is always in high demand, which provides the medical information of human body that other data could not. Beside of normal examination in hospital, for some patients, a long-term continuous monitoring of ECG signal is needed, which makes the comfortability and convenience of using the measuring system become a important problem to consider.To increase the facility and comfortability of ECG measurement, we have designed a novel wearable ECG monitoring system based on Active-Cable and Intelligent Electrodes. In this design, analog signals are acquired and converted to digital signals locally in electrodes, rather than passed through many long leads to a device for digitalization. Therefore, just by connecting with a2-wire bus, a master electrode can collect digitalized signals from all slave electrodes, which significantly simplify the structure of leads.In this dissertation, a whole wireless ECG acquisition system has been developed, which can integrated with the novel design mentioned above. The system can conveniently pass measurement results to a near computer or a mobile phone for further processing. Later, those results could be transferred to a hospital or clinic through Internet for professional interpretation. This actually makes up an application of IoT (Internet of things).
