According to statistics, nearly70%of the satellite’s direct in-orbit failures are caused by the failure of power system. Therefore, it has become a major issue urgently needed to be addressed in the field of satellite power that how to improve the adaptability of the in-orbit power supply so as to further simulate in-orbit flight status and make designers establish the ground simulation of power working condition when satellite is working properly and failure have occurred.The paper firstly discussed the significance of the power system for the success or failure of the satellite missions, described the topology system of current mainstream satellite power system, and identified the necessity for the development of the power semi-physical simulation system. And on this basis, it introduced the principle and constitute of the semi-physical simulation system. Then it focused on the detailed design of the management and parameters collection of the various types of analog devices as well as online control method of the PCU and carried out research on the management of the charging and discharging of the battery components, the in-orbit simulation, software workflow and other core projects.Therefore in-orbit environment can adequately be simulated on the ground through the establishment of satellite power semi-physical simulation system. According to the orbital parameters and the input of the working condition of the payload to control and monitor the various types of equipments, the calculation, storage and decision-making of the ground simulation parameters can be completed so as to provide quantitative data support for the whole system. This system can also complete teaching and demonstration and help power supply designers have a better understanding of the system working process so as to improve the design level of power system.Through the research and development of teaching presentation capabilities, the whole semi-physical simulation system can be ultimately established, which can be used to verify the various functions and performance of the satellite power system and find design flaws so as to make it convenient for designers to improve and refine the design. Finally the paper conducted a discussion on the system expansion and improvement direction.
