Research On Beidou / GPS Receiver Based On ARM

In the aspects of economic, military and people’s lives of various countries, the satellite navigation technology is playing an increasingly important and extensive role.It can provide people with location information and navigation, timing information of high accuracy of global, all time, all weather. The GPS navigation system based on the global navigation satellite system and embedded technology has become the focus of the research and development of many countries.This paper focuses on the study of hardware and software system of positioning and navigation system receiver that is based on the Beidou/GPS. First, the developmental status and technical characteristics of the satellite navigation system and embedded system were nalyzed, and overall program of hardware and software for the receiver system of Beidou/GPS were determined. In the design of the hardware platform, the appropriate cpu, Beidou and GPS modules are selected which based on requirement analysis of the module function. Particularly, the system power circuit and UART circuit are designed. In the development of software systems, the Linux embedded development platform was selected, the Linux device driver development process was researched, the Beidou and GPS module driven was rewritten successfully, the Qt graphical interface was designed, the Beidou/GPS positioning system software was compiled, and the information acquisition, analysis and display of the Beidou/GPS positioning was realized.The program of Beidou/GPS receiver designed in this paper achieves the positioning function of Beidou/GPS receiver system. It provides some basic research for further study on the use of equipment in civilian receivers, vehicles, boats, mobile phones and so on by using the Beidou satellite navigation system.
