In recent years, a lot of new network communication platforms emerge in the Internet. Netizen participate in and follow each other. A huge social network, which is influential and implicit, is formed among the Netizen. Utilizing analysis tool to mine the potential social network, we can understand the behavioral characteristics of Netizen, and study the dissemination of Netizen's interest. Further, we can apply it to Network Public Opinion Detection or Marketing Promotion. According to six degrees of separation theory and data mining methods, we analyze the characteristics of network structure, it can help Netizen to find more friends who have the same interest and form a larger social network. Improving the structure of Web site, we can also improve the user experience and increase social productivity.In this dissertation, we analyzed the current situation of social network in the Web, and the problems we encountered. Second, we described an implementation approach in order to extract social network relational data in the Web, and discussed how to make use of data mining technology to analyse data. Third, by means of the experiments we proved the effectiveness and practicality of this analysis tool. Finally, we summarized the research of this dissertation, and made the future prospects of further work.Utilizing the established Development Platform for a variety of community forums (Baidu Post Bar, Tianya Communities), social networking sites (Facebook, Kaixin), micro blog (Twitter, Sina micro blog), we used the social network analysis tool designed by myself to extract the following (nodes) and the followed (nodes) and the relationship(edges) between them. We studied the characteristics and applications of the social networks in the Web environment.
