Fiber Grating Fence Alarm System And Experimental Research

The optical fiber fence can monitor the objects within the remote and real-time which is a distributed fence sensor system using the optical fiber as the medium. The optical fiber fence based on Fiber Bragg Grating (FBG) is a new fence perimeter security monitoring system which is not only with anti-electromagnetic interference, corrosion resistance, easy to multiplex, but also mature, low cost and accurate positioning. The new fence has very broad application prospects in the field of perimeter security and it will be the future research direction of intelligent security.This topic is very practical and the paper did the following work on the topic:1) The paper did the feasibility technical analysis of the optical fiber fence, studied the main fiber optic fences'current technology and summarized the strengths and weaknesses,analyzed the current development of optical fiber fence technology. Then draw a conclusion that the quasi-distributed FBG fence has good economic value and application prospect.2) Develop the optical fiber grating demodulation using the FBG wavelength analysis modules. The system demodulated the FBG wavelength with the CCD spectrometer, multiplexed the FBG with the optical switches and increased system capacity. Complete demodulation system software of the optical fiber grating.3) Analysed the basic characteristics of the invasion signal according to the experiment and proposed the wavelet signal denoising and energy judgement to manage the wavelength information, then acquired the alarm information of optical fiber fence.4) Set up a video surveillance system and developed the video surveillance software. Feeling the invasion through the high sensitivity of the FBG sensor system and the video surveillance system,eliminated the false alarm. Then the system had the ability of video surveillance and forensics, formed a more perimeter security system at night.5) Did the field experiment testing of the optical fiber grating fence alarm system and the stability testing of the software under the climbing mode. The on-site test resulted that the fence alarm system of optical fiber grating had accurate alarm capacity to the invasion.
