Moving object tracking is an attractive research subject of computer vision, which has broad application in many areas. But the loss of information caused by projection of the 3D world on a 2D image, noise in images, complex object motion, illumination changes, partial and full occlusion have all become great obstacles for the research of moving object tracking.Aiming at the moving target tracking of Boundary Defense system, this paper give the new definition of boundary; the so-called boundary defense is man-made calibration or select a region as the boundary, when a moving target breaks the rules, then considered the object is the one to track. Firstly extract the rectangle box of the target, and then track the object according to the information of the box.When doing object extraction, firstly build a Mixture Gaussian Background modeling of the corresponding scene, this method inhibits the interference of background noise. After the target is detected, use the boundary tracking method to extract target rectangle, which is a better bedding for moving target tracking in the dynamic scenes.In this paper, Mean Shift algorithm, Camshift algorithm, histogram back-projection algorithm has been introduced in details, and what's more, histogram back-projection algorithm has been improved as a histogram mapping similarity weaken algorithm, though the experiment on DSP, this method is superior to other algorithms on anti-background interference and it has a guiding effect for the main algorithm of target tracking.During the tracking process, there are many problems such as dynamic background, block, dramatic changes in lighting and other issues, traditional algorithms are very easy to be effected by these factors, so always lead to a fail tracking. A new Camshift tracking algorithm has been proposed in this paper, according to the color histogram's characteristics of target and background in the dynamic scenes, weaken background of the objectives contained in the color histogram information, combined with targets color histogram of the Bhattacharyya coefficient algorithm, the aim of anti-interface has been achieved. The results have shown that:the improved Camshift algorithm have a strong anti-interface ability, it is valuable and efficiency for target tracking in boundary defense system.
