With rapid development of Internet technology and digital information, the copyright protection of multimedia content is getting more important. As a very effective means of copyright protection, digital watermarking technology has been the focus field of many experts and scholars. In order to protect multimedia copyright and enhance invisibility and robustness of digital watermarking, the principle of multiresolution analysis is introduced and on this basis, digital audio and image watermarking algorithms are studied in-depth by this paper. The main research content and innovative results are as follows:In this paper, information hiding and digital watermarking technology are comprehensively expatiated. First, the definition, classification and basic model are introduced. Then, the current typical watermarking algorithms are categorized and sum up. At last, the subjected attacktions of digital watermarking and the corresponding solutions are analyzed, while the subjective and objective performance means are also compared. With the problem that whether the watermarking information is embedded into the high-frequency components or low-frequency components in transform domain, a novel digital watermarking algorithm in DWT domain based on ICA transform is proposed according to human visual characteristics. The watermarking information is embedd into low-frequency component in wavelet transform domain to increase its invisibility. Correspondingly, the the ICA approach is used in watermark extraction process to enhance its robustness. The experimental results show that the algorithm can not only achieve the watermark signal from a mixed source of information in the blind detection, but also for regular physical attacks with strong robustness. With the conflict between invisibility and robustness in traditional digital watermarking algorithm, the feasibility that Contourlet transform is introduced into digital watermarking processing is firstly discussed by this paper. Then combined with IHS color space conversion, a novel digital image watermarking algorithm based on Contourlet transform is proposed through detailed characteristics description and analysis of discrete Contourlet transform in image processing. The experimental results show that the algorithm can not only better able to withstand JPEG compression attack and physical shearing attacks, and can be hidden in the watermark and robustness to achieve a better balance between.
