Traditional ideological and political education in educational objectives, educational content, especially in education methods have many drawbacks, always ignore the individual differences of students arid hindered the development of student thoughts of personal independence. Therefore use "people-oriented" as the most important principle, and research its methods in this perspective, summarize and explore "people-oriented" the concept under the guidance of effectiveness of effective ways and means, in order to bring these methods in real education workable and practical,The paper is composed of six parts:The first part is an introduction. In the second part, it analyzed the "people-oriented" ideology in western countries and the content of the Marxist "humanist" education. The paper established the theoretical basis on "people-oriented" concept.There are three main parts:the first is the theory of Marxist theory on human nature and the comprehensive development.The second part is methods of ideological and political education of discourses which Mao Zedong, Deng Xiaoping had proposed.The last part introduced the western theories, like Kohlberg, Durkheim and other thoughts of the western education for instance.The core parts of this article are Chapter four and chapter five. Taking the study of Southwest Petroleum University as an example,this article conducted a questionnaire, survey,analyzed the achievements and shortcomings. Based on the incompatible of the current methods and the "people-oriented" theory, it investigated the relationship between them, proposed specific responses to solve the problem of the survey solution. There are five methods discussed, including strengthening the ideological and political education using classroom teaching as a platform, strengthening the ideological and political education using campus network construction as a platform, creating the whole moral atmosphere to build campus culture platform, combined with health education to achieve effective dispersal, expanding space for students to present themselves using social practice as a platform.
