This thesis is an attempt on proposing a method of drama in education for children in elementary school. The method uses fairy tales as practical tool. Although it is known that drama in education is good for education for all-round development, but how to use the powerful tool to achieve the goal still remain obscure. In order to effectively use drama in education for the purpose of cognitive psychology, the first step should be choosing the right material for classroom teaching. The fairy tales, which developed from folk literature, can be the best choice for children to learn with, because they consist of experience of human society. For the sake of education for whole child, it is important to combine fairy tale and drama in education. The combination is not only deeply meaningful for children's cognitive psychology, but also crucial to making up the material for the courses of drama-based education. In this case, it's a worth-trying educational method.
