Mathematics is a discipline of thinking. How to train mathematical thinking effectively is a problem that every mathematics educators need to study carefully. The main features of primary student's mathematical thinking is base on image thinking,transfer to abstract thinking gradually.Therefore, in elementary school mathematics teaching, we should pay attention to the image thinking ability of students to promote the development of the overall quality of mathematical thinking.In this paper mathematical thinking in images related research were reviewed and reflection, the theoretical basis of this study were overviewed,and the concepts of mathematical thinking in images were defined.Then,know the situation that teacher how to train mathematical thinking in images of student.To solve the problem from the inquiry, based on the mathematics features and mathematics study charaeteristic of elementary school, according to the basic form of mathematical thinking in images,some teaching strategies are worked out in this paper to train primary student' mathematical thinking in images. There are three viewpoints in all:Firstly,the strategy of enrich mathematical representation,including strengthen the visual presentation; encourage practical operation; increase in extra-curricular practices; make full use of instructional media.Secondly,the strategy of guide mathematical association,including emphasize combination of number and shape; instruct student how to think holistically.Thirdly, the strategy of develop mathematical imagination,including create contexts for re-imagination; solve problem in many ways for creat-imagination.In the end, in order to the strategies apply to primary mathematics teaching practice better and play a greater role, this study made three recommendations to implement the strategies:pay attention to the various forms of mathematical thinking in images into connection and transform; pay attention to the combination of image thinking and abstract thinking; pay attention to use the strategies flexibly and comprehensively.
