On Ye Shengtao's More Exploration On The Construction Of Chinese Teaching Materials

Ye Shengtao is the explorer and the founder of the modern Chinese teaching materials construction. He devoted himself to the exploration, and then made great achievements. His theory on Chinese teaching materials which formed a fairly complete system gradually rooted in his early teaching experience and acted on his late practice of compiling. In the practice, Ye Shengtao has compiled a large number of characteristic and influential Chinese textbooks for primary and secondary schools. Up to now, they have seemed as original as before. This article makes an attempt to study on Ye Shengtao's multidirectional exploration of Chinese teaching materials construction by hunting out new materials, commentating on his Chinese textbooks and linking theory with practice. We will pay close attention to the continuation and development while we review and sum up what Ye Shengtao has done. In conclusion, some proposals about Chinese teaching materials construction for the future will be put forward.The thesis is divided into five parts:The First Part ( Preface ): The part is on the selection, the significance and the originality of the research subject.The Second Part ( Chapter I ): Through linking theory with practice, the part outlines Ye Shengtao's multidirectional exploration of Chinese teaching materials construction from four aspects, that is, the education concept of life, the theory of outline, the theory of medium and the theory of sample, to show the stratified system.The Third Part ( Chapter II ): Through the lateral comparison and the vertical analysis, the part elaborates Ye Shengtao's multidirectional exploration of compiling Chinese textbooks from five aspects, that is, organizing series into groups, arranging the style of writing, choosing texts, tending to the teaching-material and the learning-material orientation.The Fourth Part ( Chapter III ): In this part, basing on the Chapter I and the Chapter II, we will commentate on the continuation and development for Ye Shengtao's multidirectional exploration of Chinese teaching materials construction, and reflect on the current situation to seek its realistic significance nowadays.The Fifth Part ( Concluding Remarks ): In this part, we will summarize Ye Shengtao's multidirectional exploration on the construction of Chinese teaching materials and look it into the future.
