The written language is a system of written characters to record human speaking.If the written language is ill-defined or mistaken,the mutual understanding between the people shall be obstructed and thus the interactional role of written language in assistance to speaking shall be weakened.The new Standard of Chinese Course and examination syllabus for senior high school also set requirements on the correct use of Chinese characters.The 'Use and Development' part in the second section of Standard of Chinese Course says student 'should be able to use Chinese language in their daily life and other learning fields in a correct,proficient and effective way'; each annual examination syllabus requires that students should 'memorize and write standard Chinese characters currently in use in a correct way'.As a conclusion,the senior high school students should have the ability to correctly write Chinese characters.The habit of writing Chinese in a correct way will help students develop a scientific manner of preciseness and truthfulness.The poems and articles in senior high school textbooks are well-known works handing down from long time ago.They still sparkle in current thinking and expression even after thousands of years' of passing on.The examination on writing from memory can not only enhance the students' ability of communication and expression,but also exert a subtle influence on their passion and attitude to life.It undoubtedly demonstrates permanent cognitive and artistic value in helping students to know about Chinese culture,to cultivate their temperament,enhance their ability to create more effective and expressive writing.While checking the students' dictation of ancient poems,we will find a lot of wrongly written words,which affect not only the grade of students,but the transmission of traditional Chinese culture.What are the typical words that the students are prone to wrongly spell? For what reasons do such words appear? What kind of measures should be taken to avoid that happening? In view of these problems,poems with wrongly written words will be presented in classified, from the characters themselves,the social impact,students' learning and teachers' teaching in this essay to help teachers analyze the four reasons for wrongly spelled words and put forward practical method to correct.
