| The customs of education,one code of conduct which is sanctioned by usage in the process of the daily educational activities,are the response in the teacher-student communication.The customs of education in China stem from the long traditional culture and represent the construct of politics,economy and so on.During Oct.,-Dec.,2008,the writer did the field research in the Z Middle School,F District with the way of participant observation.The writer find that there are a lot of customs in the teachers teaching and management which are divided into two kinds according to the principle that whether some one break the school rules or not.One is the guidance custom which mainly builds the ordered and positive environment for study and guides the students to the normal direction for the harmonious order in class.The teachers obey the customs through the unconscious imitation.The specific form of the custom is embodied by the teachers' constraint toward the students' behaviors,and it stands for and inherits the municipal culture.The other is the custom which can be adjusted and controlled which focuses on the actions of breaking the school rules.The custom of management in class before students break the rules is named the custom of prevention of breaking rules by the writer.On the contrary,the custom of management in class after students break the rules is called the custom of correcting the behaviors in class.The custom specializes in avoiding and correcting the students' bad behaviors in class for the harmonious order in class.The writer also finds that the customs of teachers' management are either the pattern of behavior which the teachers are accustomed to,or the pattern of behavior which the teachers practice through imitating the others.It shows the traditional idea of class in China and inherits the traditional administrative ways in class.Meantime,it also implies the delicate change about teacher-student relation which is caused by the reform of social production relation.My conclusion is that the administrative customs in class both shows the characteristic of both adhering to the tradition and facing modern standard administration, and that the administrative customs in class both have the feature of modern society and show the nature of countryside society. |
