The goal of this study was to examine the effect of various presentation modes of examples(fading worked examples,example-problem pairs) on learning of mathematic al induction, And to examine the effect of self-explanation(prompting self-explanation spontaneous self-explanation) on learning of mathematical induction. The results show that: the main-effect is significant both in presentation modes of examples and self-explanation but the difference of their interaction is not significant.Concretely, The Fading worked examples is better than the"example-probl em pairs"on learning; The Fading worked examples+prompting self-explanation is better than the"example-problem pairs"+ prompting self-explanation on learning; The Fading worked examples+prompting self-explanation is better than the Fading worked examples,"example-problem pairs"+ prompting self-explanation is better than the"example-problem pairs". |
