| During its report "Decision",the sixth plenary session of the sixteenth CPC central committee points out that,the harmonious socialist society we devote ourselves to building is a society based on democratic legal system,fairness and justice,integrity and camaraderie,enthusiasm,stability and order,and the harmonious relationship between human and the nature.The fairness of education is fundamental to the society in terms of social equity,stability,freedom and harmony.Without the fairness of education,the social equity is of no means achievable.And the quality of one country' s special education directly influences whether the equity of its education can be achieved.As an important component of education,special education is naturally seen as a scale which measures the harmony of education.A harmonious society is a people-oriented society,a society that facilitates the comprehensive development of its members. Only by deepening special education,assuring the equity of education,and allowing all members of the society to be fairly educated,can the comprehensive development of the people be truly achieved,therefore,can the vulnerable groups of the society stay on an equal level with other social classes,then can the social classes appropriately transform and differentiate so that the vulnerable groups would not be pushed away into a dangerous position.This approach has been proved by both history and reality.Despite the large differences of the actual level of education development between nations across the world,not a single country,regardless of whether it is industrialized,is fully confident to declare that it has solved the problems with special education.And these problems have become a major concern of a nation' s comprehensive strength,the quality of an ethnic group,the stability of the society,and the future development of the country.Therefore, it is safe to say that special education is the base of social equity and justice. The building of a harmonious society requires rational and equal allocation of economic,political and cultural benefits amongst all members of the society,and special education provides every one of the members with an equal opportunity to gain their benefits in the fierce social competition.This dissertation will lay a detailed elaboration on special education,harmonious society,and the relationship between the two through six chapters.The first chapter will highlight the background and significance of choosing "special education under harmonious society" as the topic,and summarize the current research on special education in both domestic and overseas aspects.The second chapter will elaborate in detail the implications of harmonious society i.e.its scientific characteristics in order to lay a political theoretical foundation for the discussion on the relationship between building harmonious society and special education.The third chapter puts the stress on introducing the implications,natures,principles and specialty' s target of special education in order to draw theoretical guidelines for the exploration of the relationship between building harmonious society and special education.The fourth chapter will organize and summarize the forming and developing process of special education through three phases,respectively its initial preparation,its early stages and following development.The fifth chapter will focus on the introduction of the relationship between building harmonious society and special education and demonstrate in four dimensions that the two concepts are mutually stimulative and mutually complementary.This chapter will also illustrate that special education is first an important symbol of social civilization and advancement;secondly it is an essential factor of building harmonious society;thirdly special education is a major concern of the topic of building harmonious society;and it is the right choice for individual development under harmonious society.In the last chapter,a number of suggestions will be raised regarding how to strengthen the development of special education under harmonious society.These suggestions will be made upon two aspects:first,in terms of ideological and political education methods against factors that would influence the development of special education.These factors may come from different dimensions including the society,families,educational institutions, and individual students.This part is the most innovational part of the paper. And secondly,suggestions will be made on non-ideological and political methods as a supplement of the ideological and political ones.And finally,through this paper,the author hopes to make a moderate contribution to the development of the special education of our country. |
