Major Sports Events On The Host City For The Social Evaluation

With the development of the economy and society, many Chinese government institutes have made the eleventh "five-year plan"(2006-2010),which will increasingly focus on the sports events, especially the comprehensive competitive sports events. This is not only the result of the benefits of economy and society of the comprehensive competitive sports events gradually accepted by China, but also the form that Chinese national policy pursues scientific development and sustainable development. The comprehensive competitive sports events has great influence on the Chinese social development, it pushes forward the great development of building, travel, finance, insurance, information and technology, transportation, communication and other related property, then arises the whole economy development, pushes city foundation facilities construction , improves the city environment, promotes the city image; Meanwhile it provides a flood of employment posts, mitigates the society self-contradict, reduces the society violence and crime rate, promotes social stability and development, enriches social culture living, increases the aesthetic interest, cultivates social emotion, shapes the social spirits, strengthens the social cohesive force, pushes the propagation and the development of Sports culture, improves the people's living quantity etc.At first this paper introduced the concepts of the comprehensive competitive sports events and the social benefits first, then adopts a number of methods, such as Data Collection, Expert Interviews, Questionnaires, Logic Analyses etc, and designs the index system of the social benefits of sponsor comprehensive competitive sports events cities, which contains 3 level-one targets, 10 level-two targets, 44 level-three targets. Finally, fixes the weight of all index by means of the square method of the AHP.This study was conducted to design a set of grading index system to value the social benefits in sponsor city objectively, scientifically, effectively, and provide a basis and reference for the government and enterprises where the games is held.
