This paper introduces training in teachers cultivation for normal students on teaching skills bymeans of case method integrated with the teaching model commonly used in chemistry classesof middle schools. That training would trigger off normal students' independent thinking aboutteaching, foster their abilities in problem analysis and settlement and deepen their cognition oneducation theory so as to promote their specialty progress efficiently.In this paper study, the writer gathered video cases of outstanding teachers at the teaching lineand made them into a video disc to complete building of case resource pool. It is also studied onthe resource pool application in training on undergraduates' teaching design skills. The paperstudy is composed of five parts.Part one summaries the background, objectives, contents, methods and significance of makingand studying excellent teaching cases in new chemistry courses.Part two introduces relevant concepts of case method and its development process at home andabroad and in the courses of discipline teaching theory; and also emphasizes the rise, uniqueadvantages and teaching functions of the video cases.Part three describes the theoretical foundation of case method as well as the teaching modelcommonly used in chemistry classes of middle schools, and identifies the significance ofcombined application of case method and teaching model.Part four states the practices of case method. This part explores the key elements of casemethod, puts focus on analysis of teaching cases with application of three different teachingmodels and also instructs teachers how to change and transform their own roles in case method.Part five includes the investigation result and analysis of the effectiveness of the making andpractice study of case resource pool.The results from theoretical and practical exploration prove it effective in training normalstudents' teaching design and skills through video case method. It offers reference to explorationin training teachers as required by new courses.
