With the fast development of society and economy, the development of professional abilities of vocational education teachers is attracting more and more attention from people of a variety of fields. The thesis has discussed the connotation of the development of professional abilities and has summarized the basic ingredients of professional abilities of vocational education teachers. Moreover, the thesis has made a deep survey about the status quo of the development of the professional abilities of vocational education teachers, on the base of which it further makes a study of how to improve the professional abilities of vocational education teachers, with the purpose of giving help and guidance to the making of strategies for the development of the professional abilities of vocational education teachers and the planning of the development of individual abilities of vocational education teachers on part of vocational colleges. The thesis includes four chapters as follows:The first chapter comes up with the topic of the development of professional abilities of vocational education teachers, the significance of this study, its main ideas and methods; it also expounds the status quo of this research.The second chapter analyzes the basic definition of the development of the professional abilities of vocational education teachers and further draws a comparison of the professional abilities possessed by overseas teachers involved in vocational education, on the base of which it makes a summary of the basic qualities structure by Chinese teachers of vocational education.The third chapter makes a survey about the status quo of the development of the professional abilities of vocational education teachers. By drawing a conclusion from the survey, the thesis identifies some problems involved in the development of the professional abilities of vocational education teachers.The fourth chapter forwards the relevant methods and measures as to the development of the professional abilities of vocational education teachers on the base of the above survey and research, together with the basic qualities of the professional abilities of vocational education teachers.The fifth chapter makes a conclusion: questions and prospective.
