In the course of a new series of basic education curriculum reform, it is a policy of our country that the curriculum of a school is managed by the country, the local government and the school. The local government and the schools are encouraged to develop their own curriculum. This time, special importance has been attached to the self-controlled curriculum of a school. Against such a background, developing one's own curriculum is of great importance. In practice, I have seen many schools design and develop all kinds of different curriculums, some of which are but based on passion and casualness and lack rules. In the case of a special course within a certain subject, I have found by reading a lot of materials that there are few essays on how to combine the theory with practice when developing a special curriculum. Based on the above and the a present situation in my school, No. Two Secondary School Attached to the East China Normal University, directed by the theory of developing a school's own curriculum and combining my creative course "Recognition of the History of Late Qing Dynasty", I have tried to find the law that governing the development of a school's own history course and offer some advice. This thesis is divided into five parts.I. Having looked back upon the history and present situation of the research into the development of a school's own course at home and abroad, I point out the value of this thesis.II. Summarize the concept of the development of a school's own course because it is the major premise of guaranteeing the normal activities of the development of a school's own course.III. Focus on the important links in the development of a secondary school's own history course, that is, analyzing schools' situation, which is the base of course development, detailing course objectives and selecting course contents, which is the core of course development and assessing the course from various angles, which is the testing of the result of course development.IV. Focus on the teaching strategy of developing a secondary school's own history course, including how to optimize the teaching contents, how to select good teaching approaches and the foundations of doing so.V. Summarise the general rules of governing the development of a secondary school's own course and point out that the key point lies in the teachers themselves and give some advice on how the teachers can adapt themselves well to the general situation of developing a secondary school's own history course.
