Study Of College Students' Information Ethics

Information technology is a"double-edged sword". It brings the development of productivity and the moral progress of the whole society, but it truly causes a series of new ethical problems, which are hard to explain and solve with traditional ethics. So, it is necessary to put forward new theories for facing up to and resolving them.This paper's research object is college students information moral. At first, it points out the information moral problems of college students in detail. Then it addresses diverse reasons. Finally, it gives the suggestions to solve them. The paper is considered within the broader ethics theories, such as Marxism ethics, traditional Confucian ethics, Teleology, Deontology and Moral theory. It contains five parts:Part one gives explanations for some concerned cocepts and enumerates those theories to be used in the paper. The concepts are"information","information behavior","moral","information moral"and"college students information moral". The theories include some theories of standard ethics, individual's moral structure theory and the periodic theory of information avtivity.Part two tells us the information moral problems of contemporary college students based on the double standards, one is individual's moral structure theory, the other is the periodic theory of information activity. The former stresses the problems about moral knowledge, moral sentiment and moral behavior. The latter classifies three aspects from two dimensions. The two dimentions are life field(mainly networks moral) and study field (acdemic information moral). The three aspects include information acquisition, information processing and information disseminates .Part three tells us the background of causing the problems referred in the second part, then particularlly analyses the reasons from network moral and academic moral.Part four partially introduced foreign experiences of raising the level of college students information.Part five elaborates how to raise college students'information moral level in our country.
