| With the coming of information era, our education is faced with great challenges. How to explore out new kinds of learning methods to take the place of the traditional teaching patterns so as to develop further students'skills for living in modern competitive society becomes an urgent issue which need be solved through China's current curriculum reforms. While problem-based learning (PBL), first appeared in western countries, is comparatively consistent with the trend of our curriculum reforms. Therefore this research is undoubtedly able to have a clue to current curriculum reforms, driving it to go further.Based on some related literature from home and abroad especially abroad, this thesis has deeply explored PBL in the field of both its theory and practice by adopting document analysis, case study and experience summary etc. A set of comparatively complete PBL strategies implemented in the native country has been found out. The whole thesis could fall into four parts.Part1: An introduction of the research focuses, the value, the adopted methods and the highlights in the study, and making a comprehensive comment on the studying situations of PBL at home and abroad, pointing out their limitations.Part2: An exploitation and analysis on the fundamental theory of PBL. This dissertation has in the first place defined PBL as a kind of learning method. Then it strives to explore and expound the main characteristics, the goals and the functions of PBL at great length, as well as its general process by means of induction.Part3: Strategies on the implementation of PBL. Five aspects of PBL strategies implemented in the native country have been found out mainly through case studies.Part: 4 Problem and suggestion. In terms of our country's current education situation, four problems should be dealt with emphatically so as to succeed in using PBL during or among the traditional teaching patterns dominated classes. Meanwhile, some good countermeasures and advice have been put forward. |
