Students in university are at a special age when their psychology is developing fast but imperfect, while the society is transforming sharply. They have to deal with all kinds of psychological problems such as the crisis of identity, environment adaptation, love affairs, future plans and pressure from money, study work and public relation. Many students can't afford too much pressure. When they are frustrated, they would be nervous, worried, pessimistic, and even of aberration. Therefore, measures, which aim to enhance their inside quality, must be taken effectively.In China, there are few setback education theories and practices at students in university, which has been a barrier against their overall development. It is part of quality education and moral education of psychological health education on students in university. And it is a very important task to analysis psychological frustration and search for countermeasures to enhance inside quality for mental educators in universities.Based on the theory of Marxism and the research of setback education, this article attempts to explore main causes, nature and characters of setback education. It describes the function and meaning of setback education. Furthermore, it analyses the influence to the microenvironments concerning family, community and university, and microenvironments concerning politics, economics and culture. Finally, I put forward possible methods and approaches to bring setback education into effect.
