Along with the coming of information, digitizing and studying society, new mathematics curriculum reform in our country is inevitable. The new mathematics curriculum concept of senior high school places stressing on the combination of information technology and mathematics curriculum, advocates active, probing studying method. The article spreads the research under the background and studies the promotion of CAI on function image from both theory and practice,starting from the investigation and analysis of the present situation of CAI application.Through the investigation we find the application and development of CAI in senior high school in our country is not very ideal. In the education practice, the implementing rate of demonstration and questioning with information technology, which is definitely put forward in curriculum standard experimental textbook of ordinary senior high school, is not high. The reasons resulted in the present situation are various such as economy, technology and concept etc.The emphases is to discuss the fashion and the game of computer assisted function image instruction. First carry through academic analysis, then bring forward the game, the principle and the instruction fashion. We should follow efficiency principle, main body principle, actual effect principle and go together with traditional teaching. We should nail down the idea of courseware design and teaching design, set up a clear learning aim and carry out the teaching project hereby. On the other hand, the contrastive experiment shows the validity of CAI on the function image teaching is very obvious. CAI, as an auxiliary mean, can't replace the teacher in the teaching, however, it is indubitable that reasonable application of CAI can effectively improve the teaching efficiency and students'ability and learning enthusiasm. The CAI application shouldn't formalize, should put the stress on breaking through the difficult points in the traditional education, give play to the unique function and advantage of computer and simultaneously give the students more chances to independently perform and probe, advance the automatic formation of knowledge, advance the improvement of students'mathematics ability and the development of their emotion, attitude and values and finally implement the new curriculum reform aim.
