With the development of the society and economy, talents are confronted with the ever-increasing fierce competition and people suffer a lot. College students as superb talents face more opportunities and challenges. At the same time, they encounter even great psychological pressure and conflict. It is the key point and tendency of the current educational reform and development in universities to obtain the fitness of students both physically and psychologically. Thus now it is rather urgent to lay great emphasis on the college students' physical exercise so as to obtain their fitness both physically and psychologically.Through questionnaire, meter evaluation, analysis and contrast, this research carries on the investigation and the analysis to the 479 university students sampled at random with the method of sampling survey. And the findings are as follows:I : Most students are lack of the consciousness to take part in the physical exercise with only 34.2 percent of them doing it often, explaining that they do not have the habit of exercising and do not have enough time. Boys are better than girls. Among different grades, junior students are the best, with sophomore, freshmen and seniors behind. Taking the facts above into account, most students cannot get the good effects of exercise.II: College students in Jiangsu province have problems in their psychological condition, which are in a lower level compared with the students from all over the country. Boys are better than girls, students from cities are better than those from countryside, and the only children are better than those who are not, junior students are better than those in other grades and senior students are the worst.III: Physical exercise can positively affect and promote the development of psychological health. While different training item, different training intensity, different psychological experience and satisfaction will have different influence on the psychological health. Moderate and over-moderate load of exercise, as well as those with good psychological experience and satisfaction can have good training effect.
