The inquiry-based learning means that students obtain scientific knowledge in the way similar to scientists'scientific research activity, and that in this process students gain the scientific studying method, technical ability and the scientific thinking mode, forming the scientific viewpoint and setting up scientific spirit. As one of the most effective educational modes to raise the students'scientific quality, the inquiry-based teaching method has brought about the fever of the research in our country in recent years. This is the need of scientific education as well as time development. In the inquiry-based study, teachers will lose the authority and monopoly over the learning content. Teachers will be in the position of being chosen by students for the first time. The teachers'role will also change from the instructor of knowledge to the position of forwarder, organizer and instructor.The inquiry-based teaching has proposed its own requests to the teaching process, the teaching organized form, and to the classroom teaching strategy in particular. As a result, We, who are accustomed to the traditional teaching mode, will have a lot of difficulty in the understanding, comprehension and operation. This article aims at expounding theoretically on the meaning, characteristics, enforcement purpose, the main principle and basic characteristic etc. analyzing the advantage and significance of the implementation of the inquiry-based teaching in the biology classroom instruction together with the problems and difficulty existing in the developing process currently. Combining the practice of classroom teaching, it expounds emphatically on the strategy of implementation of inquiry-based teaching in biology classroom teaching, and how to make the teaching idea of the inquiry-based teaching into daily classroom teaching. Finally I put forward some personal viewpoints and the suggestion on some problems which should be paid attention to in the implementation process of the inquiry-based classroom teaching.
