In the new situation of constructing harmonious society, constructing harmonious class is the important carrier of harmonious school and education. How to build a harmonious class is the important topic worth studying by the moral educators. The so-called "harmonious class" is a friendly, democratic, equal, mutual-understanding and progressive class helping every student receive healthy, perfect, and comprehensive development through diverse communication, colorful activity under the healthy collective opinion and psychological atmosphere.Based on the concept of people-education, together with the basic principles of the new curriculum reform, and focusing on the people's needs and promoting the individual student's comprehensive development. This article has a rational thinking about the essence of the harmonious education, the characters and the relationship of all the elements of class moral duty, and makes a summary about many-year exploration and practice of building a harmonious class. The student is the body of the construction of harmonious class and the development of them should be achieved by the students themselves. The teachers encourage the students to learn to live together in a harmonious environment and to learn how to cooperate and learn respect for others, respect for society and nature.The whole article can be divided into four parts. The first part briefly explains the basic meaning of harmony and the essence, characters and significance of harmonious education, expounds why diversified and dissimilar education practice needs harmonious education. The second part discusses the characters and interrelations of all the elements in the construction of a harmonious, the substance of a harmonious class and the performance of the class unfavorable to students' development. At the same time, it is pointed out that the construction of a harmonious class is a gradually improving process. The third part thinks theoretically about the viewpoints toward teacher ship and studentship under the new curriculum. A harmonious class can be achieved only by changing teachers' standpoints and roles to be student-centered. The fourth part is the conclusion of the specific means, strategy and experience that have been concluded to construct harmonious classes in the education practice. The practice shows that the first prerequisite to achieve the construction of a harmonious class is the teacher's love to his students. Love is an effective way to solve conflicts, to develop harmonious social relationships.The product of a school is its service for the students. The goal of building harmonious classes is as the saying goes "all is for the development of students". Only in a harmonious class can a student's personality be presented. Only in a harmonious class can an equal, democratic, united environment be provided for the development of a "man". Only in thus environment can harmony enhance individual student's soul, can harmony promote individual student's comprehensive development.
