Guiding students how to learn is the principal target of teaching. The bottom line of teaching lies in transforming knowledge, which can be realized through the learning transfer. Nowadays the study of transfer has always been the core topic of educational psychology. This study is helpful to the instruction of teaching process, improve the teaching quality, promote students' the efficiency of learning and thoroughly promulgate the essence and basic rules of learning too. Therefore the exploration of the teaching strategy concerning the forming of students' transfer ability seems especially important. We can utilize the transfer theory in chemistry teaching combining discipline characteristics to shape student's cognitive structure, promote the students' positive transfer, thus to enhance the teaching effect.Specifically speaking, with learning transfer directing the redox reaction teaching, teachers will not only improve the efficiency of teaching and learning when helping students learn the knowledge of using redox reaction and master the relative learning methods, but also may cultivate students' chemistry discipline accomplishment in the teaching process and the ability of flexibly solving chemistry problems using chemistry knowledge. Moreover, by utilizing the transfer theory in the teaching process, the teacher may train the students to exercise the transference consciously, further instruct the students to grasp the methods of learning transfer and thinking mode, which truly manifests one of the principal purposes - teaching students how to learn. This article is composed of two concrete redox reactions as teaching designs with transfer theory instructing the entire design and the arrangement process. A questionnaire survey has been carried out after the teaching experiment, and the qualitative analysis and discussion to the experimental result have been finished. The data is analyzed on the quota by using SPSS10. 0. We have carried on the positive discussion based on the experimental conclusion to the redox reaction teaching, and proposed the corresponding teaching suggestions. In the practical foundation we analyzed and summarized the function and vital significance of utilizing the transfer theory in teaching.
