The study mainly explored the impact of cooperative learning and cognitive style on the concept of biology of junior students.In order to get practical teaching strategies in cooperative learning, the author studied related literature on cooperative learning. In teaching practice the author developed a system of practical cooperative learning strategy instruction, and then established written rules about group learning, such as the rule of participants, obligation and division of groups and evaluation scheme of cooperative learning. The evaluation scheme not only takes in the advantages of existing evaluation of cooperative learning but also develops further, which makes the evaluation more practical. Also, the evaluation was easily conducted in teaching practice.The author studied and measured the cognitive style of field dependence and field independence. Based on the result, the author established the norm of cognitive style of junior students. After the author studied the cognitive style addressed by H.A.Witkin, the test was conducted with Junior one students in the cognitive style. The principle of the test is based on the book embedded graphic test written by psychology department of Beijing normal university. The cognitive style of students was identified according to the result of experiment.
