In order to adapt the demand of raising innovation-oriented and application-orientedtalent in the 21st century information era, The technical and vocational education must stresson raising the students' practice ability, innovation ability and the ability in utilizing theknowledge synthetically. However, the students of the vocational school are poor at math, andmost of them are lack of interest in math. The study method, by which the students are forcedto study and lack the ability and consciousness to explore knowledge, has been unable tosatisfy the need to raise a new generation of workers with the essential theories, powerfulpractice ability, advanced technology and the innovation spirit. As a new study way and theimportant carrier to raise the students' innovation spirit and practice ability, the inquiringstudy has become a luminosity of our elementary education reform. Therefore, the vocationaleducation should keep the pace with time and take part in the reform actively.According to the raising goals of vocational education, psychology development featuresand the study characteristics of the students, this article adapts the inquiring study in the mathteaching, and applies the network to the activity, so that we can train students' practice andinnovation ability.Firstly, the article proves the background, goals and the significance of the study.Next, it discusses the study theories of the inquiring study on math, makes a survey onmath teaching and studying of students and teachers, and feasibly analyzes the present mathinvestigation study on the basis of network in view of the characteristics of the vocationalschool.Moreover, it analyzes the combination between the network and the inquiring study onmath. The network is very helpful to launching the inquiring study. Meantime the article hasappraised and designed the processes of the math inquiring study under the circumstance ofnetwork. The processes include the establishment of question situation, the explicit inquiringof the subject, the development of study resources, the collection of information, theorganization of the inquiring activity, the demonstration of question supposition and theexchange of the study results, carried on the appraisal feedback carries on the design.Finally, the article researches and practices the application of network into the inquiringstudy by using the study in teaching. After the experiment, it is clearly that the math inquiringstudy with the network has changed the study methods of the students and also changed theteaching methods of the teachers through the marks and the questionnaire of the experimentalclass and the comparison class. The study way has improved the student's practice,observation and their reflection ability, fostered the habit of thinking independently andstimulated the innovation consciousness of the students.
