Ideological And Political Education In The Form Innovative Research

The new situation of our economic and social development, and thepursuit of higher education objectives call for the constant improvement andinnovation of ideological and political education of college students. Among otherthings, the innovation of educational form plays a significant ro le in the innovation ofideological and political education. The paper makes a comprehensive and detailedstudy of this issue. In the first place, the paper expounds the content, characteristics,types and functions of ideological and political education of college students,emphasizing the necessity of the innovation of college students' ideology inculcation.The environment for college students' ideology inculcation is under change, theeducational content has been expanded, those receiving the education have shownsome new characteristics, and the means used for education are refreshed, too. All thisrequires an innovation of the ideological education form. Then the paper makes acomparatively detailed study of how this innovation can be realized, and the specificmeasures are proposed, which include the following substantial principles: theinnovation form of college students' ideological and political education must followthe principle of actual effect and pertinence; the form, objective and content mustconform to each other; truth, good and beauty must be integrated into each other, andthe heritage, borrowing, and innovation should be uniform. It is proposed that acomprehensive and efficient evaluation system of college students should beestablished to guarantee their healthy growth and development, that the collegestudents' self-administration system should be encouraged on the democratic basis,and that college students' career planning and the scope of volunteer activities shouldbe strengthened, and that the apartment culture, the creation of campus interactivenetwork information, and education through social groups should be enhanced. At last,the paper points out that the objectives of innovating college students' ideological andpolitical education can be achieved as long as they are supported by new ideas,necessary materials and sound regulations and rules.
