In the 21st century, the mankind is stepping into the age of information technology at a surprising speed, which makes special education of our country face serious challenge. In such a competitive society, it becomes the focal point for deaf educators to study on how to make our education target-deaf children explore ways of developing themselves, develop their own intelligence and lighten the social burden. In this paper, proceeding from visual literature and combined with deaf children's own characteristic, the writer probes into the value of visual literature to deaf children's intellectual development.Through analyzing the current situation both at home and abroad, the writer finds that there is little research on strengthening deaf children's visual ability in order to develop their own intelligence. This paper analyzes the influence result in the sense of hearing obstacle and the characteristic of deaf children's intelligence. Describes the value and importance of visual literature to deaf children's intellectual development from sign language, which is deaf children's visual language, and puts forward that the study on standardization of the sign language in China can not only help to improve the education quality of deaf schools, but also develop the deaf person's language and intelligence.This paper, combined with deaf children's characteristics and practical teaching, puts forward the training tactics of improving deaf children's intelligence by visual information-developing their visual ability and further studying on object teaching method. In developing deaf children's visual ability, deaf children's visual function can be divided into visual observation, visual imagination, visual expressiveness, etc. Meanwhile, the teaching mode of seeing joyfully and thinking frequently is put forth. Methods and precautions of training the abilities above-mentioned are expounded in detail and the feasibility of the theory is verified through experiments. In explaining object teaching method, the methods of teaching by material objects, pictures, demonstration, etc. are also proposed.
