The problem that English teaching in senior middle school is lack of emotional education is one that needs to be solved. The presently -carried out innovation of curriculum requires that we should set up an important concept: to pay more attention to students' emotion, to improve human accomplishment. Compared with other subjects, English teaching in senior middle schools has a more relation with emotion. Teachers should not only develop students' ability of language knowledge and ability of using language, but also pay more attention to students' emotion. Teachers should train students' active learning attitude in teaching to help them improve their abilities of considering and judging independently, develop their abilities of communicating and cooperating with others, inter-comprehending and enter-communicating. We should also help them build up right philosophy , views of world and value, strengthen their social responsibility ,so that we can help them improve their human quality.It is a certain trend to put emotional education in practice in English teaching. We should regard English teaching as a medium in the process of paying attention to students' emotion , one side by means of inspiring and motivating students' emotion to improve teaching efficiency , on the other hand to promote students' characteristic development harmoniously , so to achieve the aim of forming students' good characteristic quality. This essay consists of six parts:The first part: Why the writer chooses such a subject. Beginning with the reality of emotional education , the writer points out the current problems that exist in education and in English teaching in senior middle schools.The second part: the purpose and significance of emotional education. The writer emphasis the importance of emotion to language learning, especially realistic significance of emotional education.
