| " The arts integrated school—based curriculum development of middle school" is one subtask of "The Arts Integrated Curriculum Design and Teaching Modes Study" , which belongs to "tenth five" emphasized programming task of countrywide education science. It is a researching direction of the curriculum reform, aiming at the ideas and strategies of compulsory education curriculum reform in China, which advcates the comprehensive, harmonious development education; reconstruction of the new curriculum structure; embodies the modern content; advcates constructed learning; forms the correct evaluating notion; to accelerate the democratization and adaptability of curriculum; implements the third class "country, region and school" curriculum management and enhances the curriculum adaptability to region, school and students. The thesis is to find the intersection of the integrated curriculum and the school — based curriculum as to establish one of the school—based curriculum development mode of the arts integrated curriculum. Consequently, the mode will offer the academic guidance and practicing reference to the new curriculum reform.Begining with the existing malpractice of the curriculum in China and the demands of the compulsory education curriculum reform, this thesis educes the research task of the arts integrated school—based curriculum development of middle school. Firstly, on the basis of the domestic and foreign study on school — based curriculum and the arts integrated curriculum and analysis of the principals and teachers' questionnaire, the thesis implements the background and the value, and defines the concept of the arts integrated school—based curriculum development, integrated the need of this research. Following, through studying the new theories of the curriculum, the thesis indicates the theoretic basis of the arts integrated school— based curriculum development. Secondly, the paper analyzes the factors in detail that influence the curriculum development under the direction of the theories and the curriculum reform, including the condition of school, the human resources, curriculum resources and other supports.
