Poverty-stricken Areas Secondary Education Modernization - Northern Jiangsu

Education modernization plays a great important part in the social modernization, while secondary school education modernization is the cornerstone of education modernization, with human modernization as its core, which acts a great role in improving the whole nation's quality and promoting state's economic growth. Based on the thought about the challenge to secondary school education modernization from "Knowledge Economy", as well as the awareness of the trend of the international secondary school education modernization, this theme tries to show that in China the task in secondary school education is to advance a full-scale "quality-oriented" education, and in accordance with it tries to analyze the defects and causes of the secondary school modernization in North Jiangsu backward areas, hoping to seek countermeasures to improve the secondary school education modernization in such areas.Studies show that to achieve the bright goal of secondary school education modernization, backward areas must break the barriers in belief, adopt firmly the idea of modem education, set a goal for modern "quality-oriented" education and find a modernized education investment system, keeping on regulating education structure, so as to realize the modernization of the combined secondary school education by universal and vocational education.
