Students in middle schools are teenagers from the ages between 11 to 18,this section of life is a golden stage during which it is important for their personal character development to contribute to the enhancement of overall quality. And the school as the environment in which students live and study plays a leading role in the formation of their personality.Students of municipal key girls middle school in Shanghai are selected and enrolled through strict examination, they are talents in future in peoples' minds, for their excellent performance in study. This is a special mass group and furthermore, they live and study in a mono-sex environment, so a comparative study of the difference in personality characters with the girls in mixing school will be of theoretical and practical significance for the strategic development suitable to girl students' personality developing and consequently, the implementation of the policy of teaching according students wisdom and sex difference.We use ' Personality Inquiry for Chinese Students, Ages 11-18' compiled by Sa Yuying, Research Group of Chinese People Personality, Yunnan University as the measurement tool. The group for test consists of 59 students from senior grades of Shanghai, No.3 Girls Middle School and 65students from Shanghai Yanan Middle School and the Affiliates Middle School to Shanghai Foreign Study University, in addition to this, a test for 51 junior students of Shanghai No.3 Girls Middle School.The results show that there are common grounds and as well differential points between students in girls' school and those in mixing school; but more commons than differences. As for girls school itself, there are stability and an well variation, but stability is the main stream and fundamental, variation is less important and not general.According to this study results, it is suggested the managing group for girls schools should have a good command of the nature of girls' personality and adopt corresponding measures, so as to achieve letter education effect.
