China's Population In All Regions The Process Of Modernization Comparative Analysis

Population modernization was put forward by Liu Zheng in the 1990's, and developed gradually. Most of scholars only referred his academic frame and analyzed the population modernization from qualitative scale angle, while few scholars investigated how to evaluate its system of indexes. This dissertation based on current researching results and indexes' weight value is assessed reasonably by the analytic hierarchy process , which is a kind of quantitative and qualitative analytical method. To evaluate the realization degree of different area's population modernization with the fifth census' data through population modernization grading system and point out different area's disadvantage.This dissertation researched the realization degree of different area's population modernization in our country along a clue that is from theory to methodology and then empirical analysis. The dissertation is organized as falls:Chapter one is the academic basis. Firstly, it introduced definition and content of population modernization and essentiality of researching population modernization. Secondly, it distinguished population modernization and individual modernization population modernization and modernization.Chapter two is expanding of academic basis. Population modernization's content included population fertility modernization population making modernization population structure modernization population living condition modernization and population sustainable development modernization, this dissertation established indexes' system of population modernization from above five aspects.Chapter three is final selection of indexes. This dissertation adopted the fifth census' data and got rid of some indexes by correlative analysis in order to avoid using similar index and to assess realization degree of areas' population modernization exactly, then this dissertation handled the data with dimensionless way.Chapter four concerns methodology. Firstly, it introduced the import principium resolving thread and steps of analytic hierarchy process. Secondly, it erected model of population modernization, which based on the steps of analytic hierarchy process. Lastly, it got the maximal eigenvalue of dissymmetric matrix and corresponding eigenvector with SAS, and normalized the eigenvector to get weight value.Chapter five is empirical analysis. It classified the areas through the grade of population modernization and summarized the characteristic of different areas, then gave some suggestions how to solve these problems.
